The Fredericksburg Area Radio Control Club
The club began in 1991, flying from a parking lot and using a rarely travelled street as a runway. In 2001 we became an AMA chartered club (AMA# 4299). As membership grew the need for a better, larger space became clear. In 2002 the club moved to its current home—a spot on Keith Campbell’s Po River Ranch. Over the years a lot of improvements have been made. That work continues today and has made ours one of the nicest flying fields you’ll ever find.

A Simply Awesome Flying Field.
There are lots of RC flying clubs and lots of RC flying fields. But there aren’t many like FARCC. We’ve got plenty of places to hang out and plenty of room to fly — just about any type of RC aircraft you’ve got. Our members enjoy runways that are always well maintained and amenities that make it a simply awesome flying experience.
Even if you’re already a member at another club, you owe it to yourself to come out for a visit. Once you experience it, we think you’ll want to join us.

Shelters With A/C Power
You can forget bringing your generator and folding tables. Every shelter has a concrete floor, AC power, overhead lighting, and picnic tables. A day at the field just got a whole lot more convenient.

Two Flight Lines
Our field has two flight lines. The main, front flight line has a 750′ long grass runway with six pilot stations. The back flight line has a 500′ long grass runway. No matter where the sun is, there’s a good place to fly.

An Air-Conditioned Clubhouse
When you just need to get warm, or you just need to cool off, or you’d like that second cup of coffee, it’s really nice to have a real clubhouse with A/C , comfy chairs, and even a TV. Pretty sweet.

Events Worth Driving For
There are usually five annual events at FARCC. And they just keep getting better. People drive from all over the east coast, some from as far away as Texas. Check out the events page and make your plans.
